Not Another Fish Story Mediterra Restaurant & Lounge’s all-seafood lunch and dinner menu offers some of the rarest and most sought-after fish entrees in the city. This fine-dining restaurant doesn’t offer fast-food style seafood. All fish is served fresh daily and brought in from all over the province. Quite the Catch Lobster bisque made with a touch of cognac along with grilled calamari in an olive oil-lemon dressing are two delicious appetizers on the menu. Oysters, octopus, premium-quality tiger shrimp and Scottish smoked salmon are in-demand appetizers. However, the main catch at Mediterra is their large fresh seafood selection. Black sea bass and the hard-to-find pargo are dressed in fresh herb oil and come with potatoes and herbed mixed vegetables. Deep sea lobster sent in from Nova Scotia is served by the pound while sea bass from Chile is flavourful and satisfying. Grilled halibut, American red snapper, swordfish and grouper make up the menu’s backbone. Not to be missed is their yellowfin tuna which is a sushi-style tuna charbroiled and served with rapini, grilled vegetables, saffron, pine nuts, rice and Oriental sauce.
